Oil & Gas sector
Oil & Gas industry constructions are exploited in severe conditions which cause accelerated corrosion of steel because these constructions are exposed to oil and related products, mineralized water and others products. In addition, they are exposed to abrasive influence, UV-radiation, temperature drop and mechanical load.
Severe service conditions of the metal construction and heightened requirement to their operating conditions determine necessarily to protect them from corrosion. VMP coating systems based on zinc-rich primers provide high performance protection (10-15 years) and recommended for corrosion protection of constructions, tanks and equipment in Oil & Gas industry, for example:
- exterior and interior tank surfaces contacting with crude oil, oil products, oil residues and fuel;
- overpasses, tunnels, gas and oil pipelines;
- exterior and interior surfaces of engineering and fire tanks;
- immersion oil development equipment.
VMP coatings are included in guidelines of the leading industrial companies:
- the Registers of TR and TT AK Transneft OJSC;
- the Register of Gazprom OJSC;
- the Register and Technological Instruction of NK-Rosneft OJSC;
- STO 03-196-2006 ANK Bashneft.
VMP coatings are recommended by:
- the inter-departmental commission of Gosstandart of Russian Federation;
- Gosstroy of Russia (SNIP 2.03.11-85, recommendation Р 1-2004);
- the Ural Department of Gostechnadzor Of Russia.
VMP coatings successfully passed examinations and have certificates and conclusions of the leading industrial institutes and the research centers, such as: VNIIST OJSC, Gazprom VNIIGAZ LLC, Giprotumenneftegaz OJSC, IPEE RAN, BashNIPIneft LLC, NIIPH, 25 FosNII МО RF, NII LKP with ОМZ «Victoriya», Central Scientific and Research Design Institute n.a. Melnikov, IC "Lakokraska". All coatings have sanitary-and-epidemiologic certificates.
