PORT AND WATER-ENGENEERING STEEL ARTICLES

Port and water-engeneering steel articles are exposed to intensive influence of different corrosive environments:

- sea and fresh water;

- atmospheric environments;

- industrial environments.


VMP-coating systems based on zinc-rich primers provide high performance protection of port and hydrotechnical engineering and constructions. High performance protection is provided by:

- combination of barrier and cathodic mechanisms of protection;

- application of polyurethane and epoxy coatings;

- application of ‘effective corrosion pigments (MIOX, for example);

- high resistance to different atmospheric environments, sea and fresh water, oil and related products;

- high compatibility of coatings.


VMP-coating systems are applied to protect:

- quay walls;

- pier roads and oil piers;

- supporting metal constructions of the port and docks;

- supporting metal constructions and equipments of the hydroelectric power plants;

- offshore metal constructions and engineering (floating cranes, pontoons, pipelines, buildings, ladders, barriers).


High protective properties of VMP coating systems are confirmed by testing:

- in atmospheric environments by Central Scientific and Research Design Institute n.a. Melnikov; Institute of Power Resources Transport, NII LKP with ОМZ «Victoriya», IPEE RAN A.N. Severtsov Institute of Ecology and Evolution of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Research and Test Center in Nha Trang, Vietnam);

- in oil and related products by VNIIST OJSC, IPEE RAN, Giprotyumenneftegaz, Gazprom VNIIGAZ LLC, NIIZHB LLC.


VMP coating systems are recommended by Gosstroy R 1-2004 (SNIP 2.03.11-85); included in RD GM-01-02 by the Trust Gidromontazh, have State Registration Certificates.
