From 6th to 11th September the International Military Technical Forum “ARMY-2016” was held in Kubinka near Moscow. The large-scale exhibition dedicated to the achievements of the defense complex of Russia and modern technologies for specific construction was part of the Forum.
The VMP Holding together with the Spetsstroy of RF demonstrated to the guests and participants of the Forum the latest achievements in the area of long-standing protective coatings for metal and concrete: anticorrosive materials, fire-proof paint and polymer flooring.
The displayed protective systems are used by the Spetsstroy of RF for a number of years in construction of the strategic objects. The VMP coatings successfully protect against fire and corrosion such large-scale objects of the Russian defense industry as cosmodromes “Plesetsk” and “Vostochny”. They are widely used at the aviation and machine-building enterprises, nuclear industry objects, communication and transport facilities.
Flame test of fire-proof paint PLAMCOR displayed at the stand of Spetsstroy of RF was of particular interest to the visitors. Due to the bloating effect the insulation layer of coked cellular material is developed, which protects metal against overheating and exposure to open fire. Temperature sensors record flame temperature at 1000 °C, while temperature of metal under the coating is significantly less, by this reason the metal undergoes no overheating and deformation for 120 minutes.
