One of the easiest and most effective methods of secondary protection of concrete and ferroconcrete structures is coating application. They are applied for protection of constructions exploited outdoor and influenced by aggressive gases and contacted with solid and liquid aggressive environments.

Advantages of coatings for concrete and ferroconcrete protection:
- they insulate surface from moisture and aggressive contaminates to prevent from corrosion of steel reinforcement and from destruction of concrete surface;
- they improve frost resistance.

To protect concrete and ferroconcrete structures VMP HOLDING has developed the coating systems based on polyurethanes. These systems have the unique properties such as:
- excellent weatherability and chemical resistance;
- high mechanical properties;
- excellent application characteristics (one-component coatings); - excellent adhesion to concrete; - application at difficult conditions (low temperature and high humidity).

* choice of the coating system depends on environments.

** to obtain good weatherability it is recommended to be used the acrylic polyurethane topcoat POLYTON-UR(UV) or acrylic topcoat POLYTON-AK in 40-70 microns coat instead of 1 coat of POLYTON-UR.


Certificates/Approvals:
VMP coating systems are include in GOST 31384-2008, recommended by NIIZHB LLC (Moscow) for protection from corrosion of concrete and ferroconcrete structures exploited in atmospheric conditions and for waterproofing of building and underground structures.
NIIZHB LLC and VMP develop ТU 5772-063-12288779-2007 on coating systems and TR 12288779.25073.00060 for their application High weatherability of polyurethane coating systems is confirmed by results of examinations in NII LKP with ОМZ «Victoriya» and OJSC TSNIIS.
